Pinebox, TX — April 29, 2026 — Pinnacle Entertainment Group today announced the upcoming launch of East Texas University: Fresh Blood, a fully updated edition of its cult-favorite college horror setting for the Savage Worlds roleplaying game featuring all-new content, terrifying creatures, and a brand-new Plot Point Campaign for this year’s incoming class!
The crowdfunding campaign goes live on Tuesday, May 5th at 12:00 PM Eastern on Kickstarter.
Set in the eerie town of Pinebox, Texas, East Texas University (ETU) blends campus life with supernatural horror, challenging players to balance classes, relationships, and survival against the strange and deadly forces lurking just out of sight.
Originally released in 2014, ETU has become a fan-favorite setting known for its blend of humor, horror, and long-form campaign play. Fresh Blood updates the setting for the latest Savage Worlds Adventure Edition and introduces a brand-new Plot Point Campaign that carries players through their entire college career: from freshman orientation to a perilous graduation.
The campaign features a full suite of new and updated East Texas University content, including:
- ETU: Fresh Blood — the new core book, packed with setting-specific rules, character options, and a brand-new Plot Point Campaign. You’ll need Savage Worlds (available as an add-on if you don’t already have it) and Fresh Blood to enroll.

- ETU: Chickens in the Mist — the first graphic novel set in Pinebox, Texas, adapting one of ETU’s most infamous adventures, updated for Fresh Blood and SWADE so you can experience the terror (and laughs) at your own table.
