SXSW MUSIC FESTIVAL – FINAL ROUND OF SHOWCASING ARTISTS ANNOUNCED

Austin, Texas – March 4, 2025 – The South by Southwest® Music Festival (SXSW®) has announced the final round of Showcasing Artists invited to perform at the 39th annual event. Taking place March 10-15, 2025, the festival programmers aim to reignite the exhilaration of discovery for fans and industry alike as they discover their new favorite artist across the eclectic backdrop of Austin.

“As the final days leading into SXSW approach, this last announcement includes all the incredible performers set to arrive in Austin soon,” said James Minor, VP of Music Festival. “We know many will be traveling from afar to showcase their talents to excited audiences, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of all the dedication it has taken to get to this point.”

The SXSW Music Opening Party presented by Tencent Music Entertainment takes place on Tuesday, March 11 at The Mohawk. Kick off the SXSW 2025 Music Festival with complimentary beverages and a stacked two-stage showcase of artists from around the globe. The lineup includes Meg Remy’s U.S. Girls, who will be offering a sneak peek of new material; Immersion, the krautrock-leaning project of Colin Newman (Wire) and Malka Spigel (Minimal Compact); a beat-spitting battle royale with The Beatbox Collective vs SOUP (Jurassic 5), and more. This show also benefits World Central Kitchen, who are commemorating 15 years of providing aid around the world.

Many of SXSW’s showcases are curated by SXSW programmers in collaboration with record labels, booking agencies, export offices, music publishers, media outlets, lifestyle brands and more. These presented showcases give attendees the opportunity to experience sets in exclusive, small-stage performances.
