A 5E-compatible campaign of tiny heroes, woodland politics, and survival against all odds

April 13, 2026 – Mouseborn is a new 5E-compatible tabletop RPG campaign where players take on the role of tiny heroes navigating a vast and dangerous forest. The campaign will launch on BackerKit on June 2.

In Mouseborn, players step into the paws, claws, and wings of small creatures in a world where size is a disadvantage and survival depends on wit, strategy, and adaptability. Mouseborn introduces a fresh take on 5E gameplay that emphasizes stealth, improvisation, and meaningful choice over brute strength.

“Mouseborn started with a simple idea: what if being small didn’t make you weak, it made you clever?” says creator, Adam. “I wanted to create a world where survival isn’t about power, but about thinking differently, working together, and finding courage in places most stories overlook.”

Mouseborn features six new playable races, four original classes, and a collection of new spells and mechanics designed specifically for small-scale adventure. Players will encounter dozens of unique enemies, navigate shifting alliances within the forest, and uncover ancient forces stirring beneath the roots.

At the center of the experience is a full campaign for levels 1–5, where every decision shapes the story and determines what future takes root in the woodland world. Encounters are designed to reward creativity and caution, offering players multiple paths forward, whether through confrontation, evasion, or clever problem-solving.
