South By Southwest can be tough for anyone attending the festival. There is so much to do during the festival that you will be worn out quickly. You will be fatigued, you will feel hungry, and you will ache for a place to stay during South by Southwest. One of my favorite places to relax at Home2 Suites by Hilton Austin East Side 5th is next to the pool. The calmness of the water in that area felt so good. Granted, I didn’t get in (I forgot my bathing suit), but you felt instantly refreshed near the water.
Nearby by the pool, there is a gorgeous patio area that you can sit down and relax. I saw a few people taking it upon themselves to treat themselves to instant gratification while at that patio area. They were either reading a book, looking at their phones, or sitting down plainly. This spot would be also be a good hangout with friends to sit down and tell memories they made during the day at SXSW.
One other aspect that isn’t considered or talked about much that should be heard by everyone who is reading this article is that the hotel is extremely close to downtown Austin. You are literally just under 2 miles from downtown Austin that feels not too far away at all. You can take a ride share, Cap Metro, or even walk to and from the hotel to downtown Austin in a matter of minutes.
How do I know so much about Home2 Suites by Hilton Austin East Side 5th Street? Two years ago, I was able to do attend a huge event during South by Southwest at the hotel. I was there for a few hours, but I felt like I was home. So much so, I was able to talk to the staff at Home2 Suites by Hilton Austin East Side 5th Street and organize a collaboration with the hotel. I was able to stay for 2 nights during South by Southwest this year. With that stay, I experienced all three foundations of what we need when we are at South by Southwest. I experienced the quiet, the space, and relaxation from everything that gave me some peace of mind.
