(October 21, 2025) One of the most celebrated novels of the past decade, Gabrielle Zevin’s TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW has become a fixture on the Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller lists. The luminous story of friendship, creativity and connection in the digital age has established itself as a contemporary classic of the twenty-first century only three years on from its original publication. Now the Folio Society, independent publisher of beautifully illustrated hardback books, will publish the first ever illustrated edition of TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, featuring artwork by artist Manshen Lo, as well as a brand-new introduction from the author.
Contained within a holographic slipcase, this special edition of TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW features a striking cover that places the central characters inside their digital creation Ichigo. The book contains seven vibrant illustrations by artist Manshen Lo, rendered in clean lines and vivid colours to evoke the two-dimensional aesthetics of virtual worlds. A brand new introduction from the author delves into the inspiration for the novel and the aftermath of its publication. The paperbound binding features portraits of the main characters, with text blocked in silver foil. Inside, the illustrated endpapers depict a scene from the novel, with different artwork at the front and back. The edition is typeset with a display text that recalls vintage video game fonts and features a brand-new introduction from the author.
“Named one of the Best Books of the 21st Century by both critics and readers of the New York Times, TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW is a natural choice for the Folio Society treatment,” said Folio Society Editor Sophia Schoepfer. “Set within the world of video games—playing and creating them—this story is perfect for both avid and casual gamers. But beyond its gaming backdrop, the novel delves into universal themes of platonic love and the pursuit of one’s dreams. At its core, it’s one of the most heartfelt tales of devotion and creativity you’ll ever read: an ode to friendship and an astute reflection on relationships that change but endure over time. With vivid artwork by Manshen Lo and a brand-new introduction by the author, this Folio edition is a must-have for fans of the novel and readers of modern fiction.”
On a bitter-cold day, in the December of his junior year at Harvard, Sam Masur exits a subway car and sees, amid the hordes of people waiting on the platform, Sadie Green. He calls her name. For a moment, she pretends she hasn’t heard him, but then, she turns, and a game begins: a legendary collaboration that will launch them to stardom. These friends, intimates since childhood, borrow money, beg favors, and, before even graduating college, they have created their first blockbuster, Ichigo. Overnight, the world is theirs. Not even twenty-five years old, Sam and Sadie are brilliant, successful, and rich, but these qualities won’t protect them from their own creative ambitions or the betrayals of their hearts. Spanning thirty years, from Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Venice Beach, California, and lands in between and far beyond, Gabrielle Zevin’s contemporary classic examines the multifarious nature of identity, disability, failure, the redemptive possibilities in play, and above all, our need to connect: to be loved and to love. Clever, nostalgic and quietly profound, TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW explores what it means to play—and keep playing—through everything life throws at you.
The Folio Society edition of TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW will be available for £65.00 / US $90 from 4pm UK time (11am EST, 8am PT) on October 21, 2025 exclusively from https://www.foliosociety.com/uk/autumn-reveal. For more information, follow the Folio Society on social media:
