THE CODE OF OMERTA: J BALVIN AND RYAN CASTRO UNITE FOR A FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND COLLABORATIVE ALBUM

April 9, 2026 (Miami, FL) – For months, something has been taking shape around Ryan Castro and J Balvin that did not need to be explained to be felt. The appearances, the timing, the undeniable sense of alignment created a question that followed them everywhere: why now, and why together? Today, that question finds its answer in Omerta, their first full-length collaborative album together.

Built from values that trace back to Medellín, Omerta moves with a sense of purpose that feels inherited rather than constructed, arriving on May 7th as a fully realized body of work. Its power comes from how J Balvin and Ryan Castro live the code behind it: every verse and rhythm guided by loyalty, respect, and the weight of one’s word. J Balvin brings precision and quiet authority, shaping the structure of this world, while Ryan Castro moves with instinct and fire to ignite its energy. Together, they honor a pact and a tradition, crafting a sound rooted in unbreakable bonds. Omerta is more than an album; it’s a story made audible, a chronicle of family, values, and the code that binds them. Pre-save Omerta here.

Alongside the announcement, the artists have unveiled the full tracklist, revealing ten tracks that bring together some of today’s most sought-after stars, including global hitmaker DJ Snake, as well as Eladio Carrión.

The path to this moment has been deliberate, unfolding not only through the music but through a series of interconnected visuals that bring Omerta to life. Across “Tonto” with DJ Snake, “Pal Agua,” and “Una a la Vez,” J Balvin and Ryan Castro build a cohesive narrative shaped by inherited principles. Structured in chapters, each visual expands this world with intention: Capitolo IHonor, un asunto de familia begins the story with “Pal Agua,” establishing its foundation; Capitolo IIÉrase una vez en paz unfolds through “Tonto,” shifting the tone toward control and tension; while “Una a La Vez” moves the story toward its next phase, hinting at what ultimately becomes El legado de Omerta.

Drawing from the cinematic language of The GodfatherScarface, and Pulp Fiction, alongside the precision and stylized storytelling of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” and “You Rock My World,” the visuals prioritize atmosphere, composition, and restraint over literal interpretation. There is no traditional performance – the artists move within the narrative itself, delivering fragments of each track as part of the unfolding story. Each chapter feeds into a larger arc that ultimately resolves with the album’s release.

Ryan Castro represents the new wave of global Latin music, currently reaching new heights with his recent #1 on U.S. Latin radio with “La Villa” and a landmark upcoming stadium show in Medellín, which sold out 45,000 tickets in less than two hours. His rise reflects a broader shift in the genre, one that artists like J Balvin helped set in motion. Balvin remains one of the defining global forces in Latin music, not only for what he has achieved, but for what he’s helped make possible, consistently pushing Latin music into the center of the global conversation and recognizing its worldwide potential before the rest of the industry caught up.

That perspective has shaped a broader evolution beyond his own catalog, opening space, creating momentum, and allowing new voices and ideas to reach audiences at a scale they hadn’t before. Through Omerta, that perspective finds its fullest form. J Balvin and Ryan Castro are not just collaborating – they’re establishing something lasting, defined by a shared foundation that gives the music its meaning.
