I was able to sit down and watch Teacher Shortage on Tubi at home. I had met the director Troy numerous of times at his horror film festival he has in Houston and has talked about his movies. After a quick gander on Tubi, one of his movies Teacher Shortage, is available to watch on the app. I decided check out his movie and give it a review here on our website.
The movie starts off as students and a teacher are laughing at a bully situation with a student in a classroom. That student takes her life in the restroom in a gruesome way. Then we are taken years later to the same school with teachers in the English department as they plan a night out to hang out and do some planning. There is a killer loose going after these teachers and one by one they are on the hunter’s mind. The kills in the movie are pretty creative and I enjoyed them. I didn’t think some of those kills could be viable but once you see the amount of blood and gore put in there, you can understand the creativity. I won’t spoil who the killer is, but I didn’t think it was that person until the end. I enjoyed this horror flick and I hope there is a part two. There is a bonus scene in the credits that you must stay for and watch in the movie. This show’s that there is a second one and I’m excited!

Pro:
- Story
- The story is good and goes to lore of what had happened to a student previously in that school. The English department are the ones that dealt with by the killer in this movie.
- Creative Kills
- The kills are gruesome and creative in a horror fan standpoint. There were a few kills that had me raise my eyebrows, but further thinking, I understand why it happened that way.
- Bonus Scene in Credits
- I didn’t expect this to happen in the movie, but I feel it sets up a second movie. The bonus scene is pretty damn cool! I enjoyed that!
