SPIN & TIPIFY ANNOUNCE ARTIST SELECTION FOR THEIR “ROAD TO AUSTIN” LIVE SHOWCASE THIS MARCH 13 AT COURTYARD ATX

(AUSTIN, TEXAS – March 11, 2026; source: Juice Consulting) – As the world descends upon Austin, Texas this week, SPIN Magazine and Tipify are proud announce the official artist lineup for their Road to Austin Live Showcase taking place this Friday, March 13 in the heart of downtown Austin at Courtyard ATX. Featuring 14 emerging and independent acts who were selected and curated by SPIN, the showcase will feature artists including American Vanity, Belle Blue, Buddy Red, DAIISTAR, Flight By Nothing, Kids That Fly, Lindsay Beaver, Jim Evans, Moving Panoramas, Quentin, Smooth Nature, Stella Prince, SUM SUN and Turbo Goth. These rising artists will take to the stage to compete in back-to-back sets throughout the day going late into the evening. Doors open at 2 p.m., music kicks off at 2:30 p.m. and goes all til 2 a.m. The showcase is free and open to the public – because the future of music should be accessible, loud, and packed wall-to-wall with people who love it. Built around genuine music discovery – not hype cycles – the Road to Austin Live Showcase puts the spotlight on artists who are right on the edge of their breakout moment. In addition to the live performances, the showcase will feature a Tipify x SPIN Lounge, a dedicated hangout space where SPIN Magazine will host on-site artist interviews, capture behind-the-scenes content, and spotlight special moments throughout the night – bringing fans closer to the artists and the stories shaping the next wave of music culture.

Since 1985, SPIN has championed emerging artists through culture-defining storytelling, helping pave the way for many to go on and build iconic careers. Tipify, launched in late 2025, was built with a simple but powerful mission: to give music fans a way to support the artists they love beyond streaming, while empowering artists to elevate their careers through community-driven funding. Rooted in a shared belief in uplifting artists, centering fan experience, and building real community, SPIN and Tipify joined forces to create Road to Austin – a launchpad for the next generation of talent to meet the fans who will carry them forward.

Here’s how the Road to Austin initiative unfolded – artists submitted their music through SPIN and Tipify’s joint platform page and through a merit-based, editorial selection process over the last few weeks. There was no public voting element or emphasis on social media followings. Instead, the process was aimed to reflect SPIN’s long term role as an industry tastemaker, while incorporating Tipify’s model of direct-to-artist fan support as a framework for building longlasting, successful careers. More details on submissions and selected performers will be announced soon via www.tipify.music/spin.
