SM6 Closes The Door on Toxic Relationships in “Hands”

Los Angeles, CA – Emerging group SM6 has released their latest single, “Hands,” an edgy take on pop that illustrates escaping from past relationships and finding yourself again. The track illuminates the feeling one has when finally ready to let go of someone after battling the feeling for so long. From being manipulated to giving up your strength to someone else, SM6 channels inner anger and seeks revenge through encountering independence. “Hands” is now available to stream on music platforms worldwide.

“Hands” takes on sentiments of betrayal and anger, setting an aggressive tone. With the vocal talent, darker instrumental, captivating lyrics, and complex melody, listeners are taken through the moving experience of discovering their internal energy. “This song really signifies new beginnings and finding your inner power when leaving a toxic relationship,” says the band. “A lot of time and energy went into the making of this record; we hope the fans love it.” SM6 captures the liberation of finding self-love and building up courage after losing yourself. Utilizing visceral lyrics such as “Won’t let my knees hit the floor, I would never let myself beg for more from you,” SM6 creates an encouraging feeling of resilience and freedom of relying on someone to feel complete. The track was co-written by Shayon Daniels and Nicci Funicelli and produced by Jim Funicelli, Nicci Funicelli, and Shayon Daniels.

SM6 is a dynamic group composed of six siblings from Geneva, Illinois. Their electric, fiery sound, not typically heard in mainstream pop music, contributes to their success. The band has established a mysterious atmosphere with edgy punk styles with the powerful vocals of Isabel Jones, bassist and lead singer, supported by the fluid combination of talent by pianist George Jones, guitarists Adam and Jack Jones, Emily on drums, and Ellie on percussion.  Their accumulated followers total over 3 million followers, with a booming TikTok of 12 million weekly viewers. They create fun-loving, talented, and amusing spaces for their fans on social media.  As a tight-knit family, the musical entity creates an uplifting presence as a unique group in the electro-pop worldwide fandom. They have received praise from outlets such as EARMILKCelebMix, and Music Connection Magazine for their EP Rom Com.  Released in June of 2022, “Panic” was a personal letter from Isabel on her journey of embracing her sexuality and the anxieties of coming out as part of the LGBTQ+ community, marking their most streamed song on Spotify yet.

SM6 paints a striking picture of the strength of breaking free and finding your voice again through the hardship of letting go. In addition to the release, listeners can see the band live at Pride Fest in Milwaukee on June 8th.
