Psychological Horror Sequel Dread Neighbor Shatters Safety and Reality on PC Today

HANGZHOU, China – May 7, 2026 – Dread Neighbor, the first-person psychological horror game and sequel to Dread Flats from indie studio ghostcase, conjures a malicious, unseen force onto PC via Steam today.

Check out the thrilling new trailer here.

Step into the unsettling reality of a young woman living alone in a dilapidated apartment building. Manage the sickening feeling of constantly being watched from every corner of the room in an intense, heart-pounding adventure inspired by modern Chinese horror media.

An unnerving aura pervades every moment of existence, as expected, everyday surroundings slowly warp into an unfamiliar scene. Experience a dread-inducing progressive loop system that corrupts any semblance of safety and realism in a creepy, atmospheric environment.

Escape a relentless assailant in thrilling chase scenes while attempting to unravel a chilling narrative from multiple victims’ perspectives. Uncover what really lies beneath the fear by piecing together a series of eerie events to reach three unexpected conclusions, including the true ending.

“For this project, we really honed in on the suffocating feelings of fear and paranoia to craft an immersive horror experience,” said developer ghostcase. “Players will need to keep their composure while navigating familiar environments gradually (and sometimes jarringly) distorting into something much more sinister.”

Dread Neighbor is available now on Windows PC via Steam for $5.99/€6.15/¥790, with English, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Russian, Japanese, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), and Portuguese (Portugal) language support.
