The new track, “Fragments,” arrives as the band’s most concise and chaotic offering yet, an explosive preview of the raw, atmospheric brutality that defines the album.
Short, savage, and deliberately unrelenting, “Fragments” distills everything Insect Inside loves about death metal into one violent burst: chaos, groove, and a sinister, suffocating atmosphere. Though brief, the track serves as a mission statement for the band’s evolved sound, leaner, darker, and more visceral than ever.

“Reborn in Blight” marks the band’s second full‑length album and their most ambitious work to date. Written remotely across multiple cities, the record is the result of a highly collaborative process, with nearly every member contributing to its creation. The band describes the album as a symbiosis of groove‑driven slam and dark brutal death metal, wrapped in a gloomy, oppressive atmosphere.
Lyrically, the album continues Insect Inside‘s signature world‑building: short, apocalyptic stories about humanity’s extinction and the rise of an insectoid race. The tone shifts with the music; more atmospheric tracks draw out more poetic, abyss‑gazing imagery.
The album also features standout guest appearances, including Mr. Ochoa (Cephalotripsy) on the crushing single “Abhorrent Landscape” and Josh Welshman (Defeated Sanity) on the devastating “Hiveborn Abomination”.
Alongside “Fragments,” the album’s previously released singles showcase the range of brutality fans can expect: “Hiveborn Abomination,” one of the album’s most powerful tracks, is fast, atmospheric, and sharpened by Josh Welshman‘s (Defeated Sanity) unmistakable guest-vocal assault. “Carnal Ruins”, a tribute to the New York death metal lineage, Soils of Fate, Internal Bleeding, Dying Fetus, built on hardcore groove and no‑frills violence.
Formed out of the Eastern European underground, Insect Inside emerged from the Chelyabinsk death metal scene with a simple goal: play tight, aggressive slam. What began as cover sessions quickly evolved into original material, shaped by influences like Disentomb, Relics of Humanity, Cryptopsy, Defeated Sanity, and Vulvectomy.
The lineup includes several veterans of the brutal death metal circuit: Bogdan (bass) (Cold Blooded Murder, Traumatomy), Pavel (guitar) (Ocean In My Bath), Daniel (vocals) (Nauseating, Morphogenetic Malformation), and Ivan (drums) (Nauseating).
