Wielding an expressive tenor and unashamed emotion, LG Malique makes melodic street songs for the everyman. Dating back to his 2019 EP 100 Days, the Arkansas-bred rapper has swirled lithe vocals and passionate vignettes for underdog anthems that strike the heart of perseverance and aspiration. It’s a combination he flaunts again on Living Gold, a sleek constellation of survival affirmations that oscillate between stylish trap and bleary-eyed confessionals.
