RISING RAPPER LG MALIQUE’S READY TO “GIVE IT TO GOD” ON HEARTFELT NEW SINGLE

March 6, 2025 (Los Angeles, CA) — Today, rising artist LG Malique gets real about his journey on his powerful new single “Give It To God,” out now via Warner Records. Marking his first release of 2025, the track sets the stage for more music to come. [Listen HERE.]

Opening with haunting piano and gripping lyricism, the track sees Malique lay it all bare—from childhood struggles to unshakable faith. His signature melodic flow cuts deep as he raps: “They told me I was supposed to die, crazy I was only 12.” As the song swells, he delivers a soul-stirring hook: “I give it all to God or whoever’s watching over me.” It’s a battle cry for anyone who’s ever felt lost but refused to fold.

“This is for anyone who’s been doubted, counted out, or had to make it on their own,” says Malique. “Some battles are bigger than us—that’s why I put it all in God’s hands.”

The new single follows the success of his 2024 breakout EP, Living Gold, featuring his viral rework of Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” (16.5M+ streams). Hailed by Wonderland, The Knockturnal, Notion, and more, Malique is fast cementing his place in rap’s new generation of storytellers.

Since first making waves on SoundCloud in 2019 with “Sideline,” Malique has consistently honed his craft. His independent debut EP, 100 Days, followed by Long Story Short and Colorblind, helped him build a loyal fanbase and viral momentum.

Now, the breakout star continues to elevate his artistry, sharing his inspiring journey while proving that this is only the beginning.

ABOUT LG MALIQUE

Wielding an expressive tenor and unashamed emotion, LG Malique makes melodic street songs for the everyman. Dating back to his 2019 EP 100 Days, the Arkansas-bred rapper has swirled lithe vocals and passionate vignettes for underdog anthems that strike the heart of perseverance and aspiration. It’s a combination he flaunts again on Living Gold, a sleek constellation of survival affirmations that oscillate between stylish trap and bleary-eyed confessionals. He leans into the former with “Seven Years,” an impassioned remake of Lukas Graham’s 2015 classic. As heartfelt as it is unrelentingly authentic, it’s dreamer music designed for believers. Years before he made a national impression, Malique was a boy soaking up the sights and sounds of Blytheville, Arkansas, where his mother and aunts would play him the musical testimonies of artists like Alicia Keys, Usher, and Fantasia. When he was with his uncle he’d cruise around in an Impala listening to Yo Gotti and Three 6 Mafia. While he embraced the streets early on, he eventually pivoted to music. Powered by versatile melodies and vivid tales from the trenches, his 2019 EP 100 Days collected thousands of streams and a fan base that grows to this day. He continued building momentum with projects like Long Story Short and Colorblind, soul-baring 2023 projects that reaffirmed his knack for creating tunes that were as emotionally affecting as they were irresistible. His Living Gold EP stands as his most engrossing effort — the culmination of prayers, positivity and thousands of hours of practice. Although he’s faced some of the perils of the music biz, he won’t let them stop him from his next and greatest level up. Years of struggle prepared him for a victory years in the making. “A lot of people gave up on me, but don’t ever think you can put out my burning desire,” he says. “When you keep going, miracles happen.”
