In true pirate fashion, the game revolves around being a greedy, filthy scoundrel, as players sail the high seas in search of booty. Starting from humble beginnings, budding pirates must find a ship, recruit a crew, and begin raiding, pillaging, and plundering to make a name for themselves.
As each campaign unfolds, players can acquire and upgrade increasingly powerful vessels while killing, sneaking into forts, raiding ports, and uncovering hidden treasure – growing in infamy along the way. A pirate’s life can end as quickly as it begins, however, as unfathomable creatures lurk beneath the waves and danger awaits at every turn, encouraging fallen players to roll up a new character and try different tactics.
PIRATE BORG includes a 166-page book featuring eight character classes, easy-to-learn naval combat rules, stats for 18 vessels, 80+ NPCs and monsters, 90+ system-agnostic tables, and The Curse of Skeleton Point – a sandbox-style adventure spanning 11 pirate-themed locations.
