Paris WYA Unveils Her Heartfelt Rendition of Ariana Grande’s “Santa Tell Me”

Los Angeles, CA – Emerging synth-pop artist Paris WYA has just released her rendition of Ariana Grande’s “Santa Tell Me” just in time for the holiday season. With stirring instrumentals and a refined, synth-pop approach, Paris WYA demonstrates her phenomenal ability to transform seasoned classics into lively cinematic variations. The release also includes a bonus acoustic version of the cover. “Santa Tell Me” is now available to stream on all digital platforms worldwide.

In crafting her version of “Santa Tell Me,” the sophisticated pop artist teamed up with producer Tony Calabro (Netflix’s The Witcher) and co-producer Drew Thurlow (Lea Michele, John Legend, The Jonas Brothers)—who also contributed guitar and synth on both iterations—to capture the nostalgic warmth and joyful spirit of the festive season. Both of Paris WYA’s renditions, mastered expertly by Vault Mastering (Twenty One Pilots, John Mayer, The Fray), feature similar falsetto runs and stylistic approaches to Grande, but the enlivened musician takes her orchestration one step further by adopting a whimsical, almost effervescent instrumentation for her cover. Paris WYA reinvents the original song, replacing its contemporary R&B and dance-pop influences with glimmering synths and ethereal notes. The result is a timeless rendition that interprets Grande’s iconic fills with a vivid twist. Discussing her decision to cover Grande’s iconic Christmas anthem, the adventurous singer-songwriter said, “‘Santa Tell Me’ was one of my favorite ‘new’ Christmas songs growing up: it came out when I was eleven, and it instantly became part of my holiday soundtrack. When my team and I started talking about creating a holiday track, this was the first song that came to mind.” In reworking Grande’s modern classic, Paris WYA didn’t seek to simply reiterate the track, but to create a version that’s adjacent to her current sonic ecosystem, mirroring the growth of her artistry leading up to her MANNEQUIN EP. “The goal was to make a version that could stand on its own apart from my EP, but still live in the same world I’m building sonically,” she added. “It’s my take on a modern classic — a reminder of the joy and comfort that music brings during the holidays.”

Raised across Asia, Europe, and the United States, Paris WYA is a fearless, cosmopolitan pop artist whose music blends impassioned lyricism with a globally inspired perspective. Born in Shanghai and now based in the US, she has been immersed in music since childhood, learning guitar, piano, and drums while developing her vocal ability and performance skills. A student at Cornell, Paris WYA has already released two EPs—UNTANGLED (2024) and GLITCH (2025)—that showcased her range from edgy, digital-first pop to synth-driven high-fidelity productions like “AI Boyfriend.” With her upcoming EP, MANNEQUIN, she turns toward a more stripped-down, ethereal energy, navigating heartbreak, insecurity, grief, and clarity through songwriting that balances vulnerability with striking imagery. Beyond music, Paris WYA collaborates with fashion duo Domen & Van De Velde to hone her visual aesthetic and brings a background in ballet, jazz, and hip-hop dance to her performances, cementing her place as a multidimensional artist poised for international recognition.

Paris WYA’s latest cover demonstrates her ability to invite tracks from all genres into her pop soundscape, interpreting danceable pop classics into a tune fit for a movie soundtrack. “Santa Tell Me,” along with its companion acoustic rendition, is out now on all streaming platforms.
