BORDEAUX, France – April 16, 2026 – Northgard Battlegrounds, a city-building auto-battler set in the Viking world of Northgard, was revealed today in an explosive trailer at the Galaxies Gaming Showcase.
Developer Funday Games, best known for Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, which surpassed a million units sold in 2024, and publisher Shiro Unlimited, the original creators of Northgard, which sold more than 5 million units, will deliver Northgard Battlegrounds on PC via Steam in 2026.
Northgard Battlegrounds blends the fast-paced excitement of auto-battlers with the depth of Northgard’s base-building and strategy. Expand your settlement turn by turn, placing buildings to gather resources, strengthen your warband, and unlock powerful synergies. Claim the favor of the Gods, then watch as clans clash in battle at the end of each round.
Earn Krowns through skirmishes to construct new buildings and recruit villagers. Gather Lore to pledge allegiance to powerful Norse Gods and unleash their abilities on the battlefield.
Every decision made during the building phase directly impacts the outcome of battle. Choose a clan with its own strategic identity, manage your resources, and position your buildings to maximize their synergies.
