MUNDO SLOWLY BRINGS MEXICO’S NEXT MUSIC MOVEMENT TO SXSW

Austin, Texas (March 15, 2026) — As Mexican music continues expanding its global influence, a new generation of artists is emerging with a vision that goes beyond genre. This year at SXSW, Mexican creative collective Mundo Slowly will present a showcase highlighting the artists shaping that next movement. Taking place March 15 at 8:00 PM at Nivel inside Mala Fama in Austin, the showcase introduces a group of rising artists whose identities, ideas, and talent reflect the evolving direction of Mexico’s contemporary music culture.

Opening the lineup is Ria, an emerging voice in the regional Mexican movement, bringing a youthful perspective to a genre that continues to redefine its place in modern Latin music. Representing a new wave of alternative RCB from Mexico, Perdón Amor combines Latin-influenced production with emotionally driven songwriting as they prepare the release of an upcoming EP. Bringing a performance-driven energy to the stage, Lu Got The Taste stands out as an urban artist whose background in dance translates into dynamic shows blending pop, trap, and reggaeton with an impressive stage presence. Within the trap space, Emi Ángeles is quickly becoming one of the scene’s most compelling figures, building a strong artistic identity rooted in community and storytelling, often appearing alongside his alter ego, Cruz. As a mentor and architect within the Slowly ecosystem, Adrian Be stands as one of the creative pillars behind the movement, helping shape both its musical direction and artistic development.

Pushing sonic boundaries even further, Ferrr brings an experimental approach to trap influenced by opium and ultra-trap aesthetics, crafting futuristic sounds that challenge traditional urban formulas. Representing Mexico’s growing presence in global dance music, Urboi has built an international profile with collaborations including Diplo, helping place Mexican electronic artists on the worldwide radar. Rounding out the lineup, Kenzzo explores a modern vision of Mexican pop through what he calls “organic pop,” blending contemporary production with melodic songwriting aimed at a new generation of listeners.

The showcase is organized by Mundo Slowly, a Mexico-based entertainment company and creative collective focused on developing artists and building cultural ecosystems around music, visual identity, and community. More than a label, Mundo Slowly operates as a creative family dedicated to developing artists and connecting them with global audiences. Over the past years, the collective has helped cultivate a new generation of talent while building a platform where collaboration and artistic identity take center stage. This year marks their third consecutive appearance at SXSW, continuing their mission of introducing international audiences to the next wave of Mexican artists. Guided by the philosophy that “it’s not enough to be unique,” Mundo Slowly is helping shape a movement built on vision, creativity, and the belief that the future of Mexican music is already here.
