Malu Pierini’s new single feels like an excerpt from a diary. The intimate melody and the Danish-Corsican singer’s velvety voice float along with ‘Just For Us’, describing the feeling of being newly in love. With its captivating string arrangement, the song is like a scene taken from a 1960s Hollywood film, where the two main characters finally hold hands, sailing carefree down the Seine in Paris while the sun sets.
“I love the idea of these moments that are so precious they should just be left to exist, undisturbed by the rest of the world. A secret place in time that only exists between two people – right there, where everything paused and felt so new, beautiful and fragile – at least just for a while,” says Malu Pierini.
The new single follows ‘Souvenir’, which was released last fall. Here, Malu Pierini once again achieved national radio airplay, received coverage from leading Danish media outlets, Soundvenue and GAFFA, and garnered significant international attention from the likes of COLORS (DE), DLSO (IT) and Ones To Watch (US).
‘Just For Us’ was written in collaboration with Sofie Daugaard, also known as Dopha, and like ‘Souvenir’, the new single was produced by brothers Nicholas and Oliver Kincaid known for their work with international Danish artists like Mina Okabe and Scarlet Pleasure.
