La Brea Season 2 Review Peacock

After I finished watching Season 1 of La Brea, I jumped right into Season 2 on Peacock. I was excited to see the continuation of the group staying at the clearing and continuing to try to get home. Gavin and his daughter Izzy had jumped into the sinkhole in Seattle with Ella aka Chole. Together, they venture to find the clearing as well as help Gavin reunite with his family. The people at the clearing are trying to continue life while building a relationship with the local tribe. Parra and Ty helped keep that connection going with their deep affection for each other.

I don’t want to spoil much, but I have to say Season 2 provided so much creative arcs for the characters. I enjoyed Josh and Riley’s relationship grow in 1988 in sunny California. Also, I enjoyed Josh meeting his grandmother in 1988 which pretty shocking to say the least, yet provided a unique look on how her work on the sinkholes continued in there. The final moments of Season 2 though was pretty damn good!

Watch Season 2 now and pronto! Season 3 comes out soon!

Our Thoughts

Pro:

  • Story
    • The story in the show is A+! Each episode runs so smoothly while balancing multiple stories from the characters in the show. I have been trying to find a favorite storyline to say that its my favorite, but its so hard. The storylines for the characters in Season 2 is fantastic. I enjoyed it hard!
  • Gavin’s Parents
    • Learning more about Caroline and James, who are Gavin’s parents, present multiple views of their ideals. They each have their own secrets from Gavin as well as their own agendas on what they think is right. I think each character is written completely well of how parent’s react to a situation and try to save their child the way they know.

Con:
