King of The Hill Season 14 Doesn’t Disappoint with a 10 out of 10 Score!!

After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas, to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane.

Like everyone else out there, I waited until the new season of King of the Hill was available to watch on Hulu. In my mind though, I had some doubts of how good the new season will be. It has been many years since the last episode was shown and I was young when that happened. I grew up watching King of the Hill as it related a lot to me growing up in South Texas. I’m not going to spoil much about this new season of King of the Hill. I want you to sit down and watch each episode of the show. You will watch as how each character  from the show has grown in years and how they are coping in the world today. I will say here are a few of the favorite things I have enjoyed this season of the show.

First things first is watching how Bobby is navigating life with his trusty roommate Joseph. He is a chef now that owns partially his own restaurant in Dallas. He is still awkward but is so relatable in today’s world. You feel for him when he tries to talk to other women or even interact with new people. He is himself when he is with people he knows and comfortable with.

Next thing is the new characters that are introduced in the show. I will talk about one of them because there is plenty to learn from watching the show. Brian is the one that rent’s Hank’s house while the family are in Saudi Arabia. We see brief glimpses of Brian in the show but his interaction is just so good. You feel like he has been part of the alley for many years and is a good fit for the crew.

Lastly the writing is not only like how the show used to be but felt it was better shown in each episode. I felt that it was just an extension of the past seasons that it wasn’t out of place at all. The episode of Hank with Good Hank was so dang good, like real good, how it was expressed and shown in that episode.

I don’t want to spoil much but in this review, you will have a great time watching this new season. This season is just like the other seasons where you can watch it over and over like as I have done for years. Thank you Hulu for bringing back King of the Hill!

Pro:

  • Bobby as an adult
    • Watching Bobby as an adult brought out memories of when I was 21 and just didn’t know what I wanted to do in life.
  • Brian new character
    • A new character that isn’t forced but feels like he is someone you know back home when growing up.
  • The Writing
    • Each episode is written so dang good! Very good!

Con:

None
