Today, we sat down with Naked Sunday to discuss their inspiration to write music, heroes, and much more!
Interview:
What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your
surroundings?
Yes a lot of the album Library of Medication is written about Stafford, the surroundings observations of people and personal experience, it’s a small town.
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
Queen and lots of it, I mean obviously coolie took place, bjork but I soon found my path on what I loved. Once Queen hit everything else followed, Bowie, The Stones, Metallica etc.
Is there someone you looked up to as a hero?
Probably my Dad and Mom both grafters. From a musical perspective my mate Baz was excelling on guitar it was healthy to better each other, although he still is a guitar genius.
If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing today?
Well I am a musician but I have a day job as well and that’s OK, I’ve always been a worker, my music is my escape, my 5 minutes peace. I think it’s OK to normalise musician by night worker by day.
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?
Don’t give up, never give up set your dreams in your head they will come true, mine got me a single in the UK charts and a door to playing major festivals, music in films and the joy of communicating with others including teaching and music therapy.
