NASHVILLE, TN (March 9, 2026) – Breakout artist Abbie Callahan puts a bold Country/Americana spin on a global disco phenomenon with the release of “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight),” available everywhere Friday, March 13. Fans can pre save and add the track now HERE.
Originally released by ABBA, the 70s anthem has remained a dance floor staple for nearly five decades. Now, Callahan reimagines the iconic hit through her own “kaleidoscope country” lens, blending driving bluegrass instrumentation with shimmering disco production for a fresh, genre bending take that feels both nostalgic and brand new.
“I’ve always loved disco music. During the winter months especially, upbeat and energetic songs can really lift my mood,” said Callahan. “When I started thinking about recording a cover, I began playing ‘Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!’ in the fingerpicking style I naturally gravitate toward, and it immediately felt right. Blending country and disco, what I like to call ‘Crisco,’ ended up feeling really fun and unexpected. ABBA is legendary, and I think this version pays proper homage to such a classic song.”
Driven by pulsing rhythms, glittering grooves, and Callahan’s dynamic vocal performance, the track honors the iconic essence of the original while bringing it into a fresh country pop landscape. The result is a vibrant, feel good anthem that bridges eras and genres, highlighting Callahan’s versatility and creative range.”Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)” also taps into the growing wave of disco infused country dominating playlists and dance floors alike. As female country artists top multiple all-genre charts, audiences are gravitating toward fun, punchy tracks that demand to be played loud and Callahan delivers exactly that.
The release builds on the momentum of her recent singles, including “Simon Says,” which has amassed 2M+ streams, and “2:38” featuring Brendan Walter, which has also hit 1M streams and secured multiple playlist covers, including Spotify’s Indigo.
Fans will have the chance to experience that energy live this weekend as Callahan opens for Carter Faith on The Cherry Valley Tour, including a stop in Nashville at Exit/In on Saturday, March 14. For more information on Abbie Callahan, visit AbbieCallahan.com.
