Colter Wall Releases A Vintage Country Statement Of A Song, “1800 Miles”

Battle Creek, Saskatchewan – September 26, 2025 – “You won’t hear it on your radio, it’s eighteen-hundred miles from Music Row,” sings the unmistakable voice of young Canadian rancher Colter Wall in the refrain of his new single, “1800 Miles.” Wall emblazons his message from the very first line of the three-and-a-half-minute country groove: “I don’t know what you think you’ve been told / If I ever was for sale, I’ve never sold.” The Saskatchewan-raised singer’s mentality may have never been more straightforward, a sentiment continued throughout the rest of Wall’s upcoming LP, Memories and Empties—announced yesterday and out November 14th on La Honda Records and RCA Records.

In Wall’s own words, “‘1800 Miles’ is me poking a little fun at myself, as well as at Nashville and the country music industry and culture. What I do is pretty meat and potatoes, and no-frills. We don’t have a big light show, and there’s not much in my songs as far as hooks. It’s simple, really, but it’s honest to who I am and I take pride in that.” He continues, “I’ll always feel that my music is a representation of where I’m from as much as anything. It’s a huge part of who I am, and I’m glad the culture of the ‘music industry world’ has no place in my life or my music.”

Memories and Empties was recorded at RCA Studio A and produced by Wall and Pat Lyons, who are joined by the Colter Wall touring band, The Scary Prairie Boys. The album was engineered and mixed by Phillip Smith and mastered by Mike Monseur.
