Since launching in 2019, BeachLife has quickly established a reputation for combining the best of Southern California’s idyllic culture into a one-of-a-kind experience with something for everyone. This past weekend, more than 40,000 people flocked to Redondo Beach for BeachLife Festival 2026. Friday and Saturday sold out completely, and the festival achieved the highest attendance in its history.
With an eclectic group of legendary top talent and exciting inspired emerging artists spanning rock, indie, pop, jam, reggae and more, BeachLife 2026 attracted record-breaking crowds with headlining sets from Duran Duran, The Offspring, James Taylor and His All-Star Band, as well as The Chainsmokers, My Morning Jacket, Slightly Stoopid, Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Grouplove, Peach Pit and many more (full lineup listed here).
“It felt like our team really hit its stride this year…and that’s the result of seven years of investing in people,” reflects BeachLife Festival Director Sam Meyers. “A lot of our department heads, and even many on the support staff, have been with us since the early days. That continuity shows. What excites me most is our ability to take what we’ve built here in the South Bay and grow beyond it, while continuing to elevate the flagship event in Redondo Beach that we all know and love—especially as we look ahead to BeachLife Festival 2027, April 30th – May 2nd.”
In addition to the stunning coastal views and a stellar lineup of musical acts, BeachLife understands no festival experience is complete without only the best food and beverage offerings, and the 2026 festival delivered on all fronts. Partnering with a team of renowned local South Bay restaurants and BeachLife Executive Chef Chase Carlson, this year delivered a touch of sophistication unique to the music festival experience. From the Captain’s Culinary Experience to the California Surf Club, which returned for a second year at Beachlife Festival, festivalgoers indulged in artfully prepared dishes and thoughtfully curated menus that perfectly complemented the laid-back, luxury-meets-surf atmosphere.
Music from over 40 artists was featured on four stages throughout the three days: the Fiji Airways HighTide Stage, the Cove Soda LowTide Stage, the LA Chargers RipTide Stage and the SpeakEasy Stage presented by STōK Cold Brew Coffee–curated by Pennywise frontman and BeachLife Brand Director Jim Lindberg, which provided intimate and stripped-down acoustic performances from an eclectic array of artists from the rock, singer/songwriter, surf, and punk rock genres.
With a diverse lineup spanning decades, there was something for everyone–even within just the headlining performances, there was a great variety. Pop rock icons Duran Duran brought an 80s vibe to the festival, playing a blend of their timeless classics and newer releases. The Offspring tore through an energetic set featuring several of their punk-rock staples, covers of Black Sabbath and The Beatles, and an exciting rendition of “Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)” with special guest Guy Cohen, the original actor from the 1998 music video. James Taylor concluded the festival with a feel-good, stripped back set with instrumental support from his All-Star Band.
Elsewhere, The Chainsmokers delivered a high-energy set featuring their smash hits “Closer,” “Something Just Like This,” and many others. Beloved alt-rock groups Fitz & The Tantrums, Grouplove, and Flipturn kept the party going through Friday, bringing fans to their feet with hits like “Handclap” and “Tongue Tied.” San Diego’s beloved Slightly Stoopid, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, BeachLife veterans Sugar Ray, and newcomers Water Tower, brought nostalgic laid-back, reggae, and even bluegrass, vibes to the festival on Saturday, with rock phenoms Switchfoot and Bad Suns picking up the pace before rock icon Joan Jett & The Blackhearts captivated crowds with mega-hits “Bad Reputation,” “Hate Myself For Loving You,” and “I Love Rock n’ Roll.” Sunday’s lineup featured rock favorites My Morning Jacket and Peach Pit, a groovy Latin music set from Buena Vista Orchestra, a daytime disco DJ set from Poolside (who also played at the California Surf Club afterparty) and a lively set from the legendary Sheryl Crow jam packed with all of her hits.
The festival grounds also featured several unique interactive activations and experiences from a variety of vendors and premier brands including various fan engagements, giveaways, product tastings, games, photo moments, and information on sustainable initiatives, an art installation from Punk Rock & Paintbrushes, a silent auction benefiting BeachLife’s primary charities, as well as boutique shopping and more which elevated the experience. BeachLife welcomed returning partners Skechers, DAOU, Hendrick’s Gin, Jack Daniel’s, Tequila Herradura, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Waterloo, Lifeway Kefir, and Open Water. New partners at BeachLife included Fiji Airways, Cove Soda, STōK Cold Brew Coffee, Limelight Hotels, Habit Burger, Aperol, Mionetto, Citizens Private Bank, Aboard RV, Outbound Hotels, Embolden Beer Co. and the LA Chargers.
On the Wednesday before the festival kicked off (4/29), BeachLife held their annual charity gala at the California Surf Club. Evening By the Sea brought together community members, philanthropists, and music fans for a night of live music, giving and celebration. Guests were treated to a rare acoustic performance by Slightly Stoopid, hosted by Jim Lindberg. Through ticket sales and silent auctions, BeachLife helped their partners raise more than $150,000 benefiting a wide range of local and national nonprofits, including the Redondo Beach Police & Fire Foundation, Surfrider Foundation, Wyland Foundation, Heal the Bay, Redondo Beach Education Foundation, South Bay Parkland Conservancy, King Harbor Youth Foundation, South Bay Boardriders Club, Friendship Foundation, Jimmy Miller Foundation, Lanakila Foundation, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Since its inception, BeachLife Festival’s philanthropy efforts have helped raise more than $900,000 to support charitable causes, reinforcing its commitment to community impact and coastal preservation.
“Giving back to the community has been at the heart of BeachLife Festival since the very beginning,” shares festival co-founder Rob Lissner. “Through initiatives like our silent auction, philanthropy gala, battle of the bands, and other partnerships, we’re proud to have helped our nonprofit partners raise more than $150,000 this past cycle.”
