Unmetal is a fun and exciting game that will have you yelling JESSE FOX! You enter a world of military espionage and false imprisonment that leads to the question: how did you escape? Everyone wants to know the story! What happened? How did you do it? Well Jesse Fox, our narrator and hero, tells you a wild tale that will have you hooked as a cat with treats.
I was able to try this game out on my Xbox Series S console. The game downloaded pretty fast and started up with ease. There are a few modes to play the game and I started the game off as Easy as I want to get some experience. I may try and do a harder difficulty later on as this game is hella addicting!
Here is the review:
Pro:
- Narrating Story
- I have to admit, this is something I don’t see at all in a video game! You start off the game as Jesse Fox who recently escaped a place where he was jailed with no reason. While he talks about his story with the personnel, you start off the game as interacting with the story. While you pass certain areas of the game, the narration of Jesse will continue to go on as you learn more about what had happened on your false crime.
- Stealth
- One of the challenging parts, which I enjoyed, was finding ways to knock out the guards without alerting them. If you alert a guard, you won’t be able to get a star to build up you character even when you knock them out. I enjoyed the creativity of throwing a coin in the corner which makes the guard want to get that coin and then you launch stealthy attack.
- Funny Wits
- The attitude on Jesse Fox is awesome! I couldn’t stop laughing at some of the interactions he had with people in his story. He can be serious when he has his moments but showcases a wit that hasn’t been seen much today. He reminds me of one of those 80’s military stars that go wild with a clip or two on their machine gun.
