I was able to get a review code for TopSpin 2k25 for my Xbox Series S console. The download of the game went pretty smooth and quick as it wasn’t too large. Once downloaded and I was able to open up the game and sign into my 2K account. Once logged in, I was greeted to create my own character. I took my time to create my character and see what type of attachments I can use for my character at the moment.
Then, before I attempted to play a game, I was greeted with training. Yay training! Haha. You know me, I like to go head first into a game, but I never really played a tennis game before. I did the first choice of training which was the basic and wow. I can say that again…WOW! I didn’t realize the mechanics needed in the basic to play tennis. I learned so much in training that I felt comfortable to play an exhibition game afterwards. The graphics were immersive in the venues as well as the characters! They looked so life like and done very well by the team at 2K! The game flowed very well on my Xbox Series S console and didn’t see any lacking of anything. I was in the zone in the exhibition game where I lost to a better player. I went back to training in the advanced part and learned more through there. On my next exhibition game, I made a point! YES!
Our Thoughts
Pro:
- Graphics
- I was mesmerized by how clear the graphics of the athletes in the game are shown! The athletes looked like their counterparts in real life as well on the court too! The venues looked really nice where the enjoyment of camera would focus on certain people in the crowd gave me life.
- Training
- I’m not going to lie and say training was a breeze, but it was a wake up call. I didn’t really know much of the mechanics of tennis until I did the training. I learned so much of the basics of tennis as well as when and where to swing your racket in gameplay. I felt like the education taught to me in the game is very valuable.
- Gameplay
- With the enhanced graphics on the Xbox Series S console, TopSpin 2k25 ran very well on my console. I was able to move my athletes around the court and fight for dominance. The smooth gameplay of TopSpin 2k25 had myself focused hard in each and every game.
