The Writing and Editing of The Witcher Season 4 on Netflix Was Tough To Watch and Experience. I’ve been watching every season of the tv show The Witcher on Netflix when it debuts. I even had a rewatch recently of the previous 3 seasons on Netflix as I wanted to be ready for the new season to drop. First things first though, I know it was tough to not see Henry Cavill be Geralt, but I felt Liam Hemsworth did a decent job as Geralt. The actors and actresses, again in the show, did a wonderful job as their characters.
Now the nitty gritty that had me turn it on and off throughout a weekend. The writing was horrendous in this season as some stories were too long while some finished fast and weren’t look into more. Whoever edited each episode with the stories did a bad job as well! The confusion when your watching this season was hard to digest. There was even no “proper Jaskier song” like he has done in previous seasons. There was just a random song and dance number that was out of place in the show.
This season, Liam did a good job as Geralt but was fed some garbage stories that just didn’t fit the Witcher experience in the show. I’m not comparing it to the “lore from books and video games”, I’m comparing it to the lore of the show. The writers and editors went off the deep end this season and felt they didn’t put the same effort they have had in previous seasons in the show.
I hope season 5 corrects the mistakes of Season 4 as this once mighty cool show is now just a distance past its prime. I’m not going to spoil the show in this article, but you make your decision when watching this new season.
