The song opens with a heartfelt tribute to “el más viejo de la manada”—their father—reflecting on the wisdom and values he passed down over the years. The first verse paints a vivid portrait of their dad from a personal point of view, capturing his character and presence. While the track is dedicated to their father, the second verse broadens its reach, offering timeless life lessons about friendship, values and key principles that resonate with many. The song carries the weight of memories and the guidance received, honoring not just a father, but all the men who have served as role models, mentors and pillars of strength in our lives. Alongside the song’s release, the official lyric video debuts as a heartfelt tribute to both fans and the artist’s father’s legacy. The video features photos submitted by fans, showcasing moments with their father figures or as dads with their children. It stays true to the spirit of the song, echoing the lyrics, “recuerdos y consejos yo mantengo” — “I carry the memories and advice with me.”

Reynaldos De La Sierra tapped into the spirit of generational storytelling by embracing the classic sierreño sound, rooted in accordion, guitar, and bass—key components of the genre. The track opens with an upbeat, fast-paced rhythm driven by guitar and bass, setting an energetic tone. The accordion soon makes a bold, dramatic entrance, adding a grungy edge to the track. As the song progresses, the guitar and bass flow effortlessly alongside the vocals, while the accordion weaves in and out with dynamic flair, adding striking accents that give the track its distinctive character.

Since signing with Double P Records in October 2024, Reynaldo’s De La Sierra have released several standout tracks, including “Tulum, Nueva York” and “Homerun“—a collaboration with Música Mexicana group Nueva Marca that explores themes of loyalty and perseverance. The group also dropped Somos Double P, an 11-track cover album honoring some of today’s most influential Música Mexicana artists such as Peso Pluma and Tito Double P, all while putting their own spin on each track with their signature sierreño style. Reynaldos De La Sierra, a legacy sierreño group from Los Mochis, Sinaloa, was formed in 2000 by Reynaldo Valenzuela Almada. With a repertoire of over 55 albums, the band is known for its family roots and musical talent. Following the passing of his son José Reynaldo, Reynaldo Valenzuela Almada took a short break from music, before returning to the group with his son Jesús Reynaldo, who joined at just 13 years old. In 2024, Reynaldo Valenzuela Almada retired from the stage but has remained at the forefront of the project while his son Jesús Reynaldo continued the family’s musical legacy alongside his cousins Kevin Arrieta and Omar Rodriguez. The renowned group is quickly becoming a leading force in modern sierreño and música Mexicana, with over 42k Instagram followers and 504.9k monthly Spotify listeners. Signed to Prajin Parlay Inc. and Double P Records, Reynaldos De La Sierra – made up of members Jesús Reynaldo, Kevin Arrieta and Omar Rodriguez is gearing up to release their highly anticipated upcoming album, set to release in July.
