POP NEWCOMER Cil IS READY FOR “something like this”

September 12, 2025 (Los Angeles, CA) – Kicking off another creative chapter, singer and songwriter Cil is back with a brand new single entitled “something like this” on Warner Records. Listen HERE and watch the video HERE. The track drops as Cil starts her run as direct support for Dua Lipa for the entirety of her North American dates, hitting New York for four shows next week.

Cil shares, “something like this” is a song that gives me space to explore my femininity without the pressures or opinions of any relationship. Rather than being sexy for someone else, the song represents finally feeling sexy and confident and taking that power back whether I’m in a relationship or just single and having fun.”

Right now, she’s supporting pop megastar Dua Lipa for 24 arena dates across North America on the Radical Optimism Tour. Next week, this jaunt takes over Madison Square Garden in New York, NY for a four-night stand 9/17-9/21, rolls across the country to Los Angeles for another four shows at Kia Forum in Los Angeles, CA 10/4-10/8, and concludes with a pair of gigs in Seattle, WA at Climate Pledge Arena 10/15-10/16. Check out the full itinerary below.

Cil ignited the summer with her don’t hold me accountable EP. Listen HERE. Beyond amassing over 10 million total streams, the project received critical acclaim. UPROXX hailed the single “hot shit” as “summer-ready” and a “piano-led bop.” Plus, Elite Daily spoke to her in-depth about the project, going on to note, “The pop/R&B record clearly paints the picture of a young woman stuck in toxic cycles.” HitsDailyDouble applauded it as “music that feels both personal and universally resonant.”

It’s just the beginning though. Get ready for a whole lot more from Cil soon.

ABOUT CIL:

Cil isn’t afraid to pour her heart out on a track. Singing with the kind of soul you can’t teach, she untangles messy relationships, the turbulence of mental health, feelings of betrayal, premonitions of lust, and life-changing epiphanies without filter or apology. The Colorado-born and Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter has unassumingly emerged as a phenomenon on her own terms with a hard-hitting, yet hypnotic R&B pop sound. Growing up in Fort Collins with seven siblings, music offered the ultimate outlet for self-expression. As a kid, she diligently taught herself how to play piano, sing, and pen songs. Relocating to Los Angeles, she began to stake her claim in 2023 with tracks like “One More Shot,” and “Bloodsucker,” and earned the ultimate co-sign when Stevie Nicks hand picked her to open a series of sold-out arena shows. Along the way, the songstress garnered early acclaim from Billboard, Music Connection Magazine, SHEESH, and V Magazine who professed, “Cil is on the cusp of pop stardom.” In 2025, she holds nothing back once again on her new project, all created alongside Evan Blair [Dove Cameron, Benson Boone, Rosé]. Cutting deeper than ever, Cil pulls everyone closer with more music and shows on the horizon.
