PIRATE BORG is a scurvy-ridden, rules light, art heavy tabletop RPG. Inspired by history, fantasy, horror and rum. Your cutlass & flintlock won’t save you from the hordes of skeletons, the Kraken, or even your own crew.
PIRATE BORG is a complete game based on and compatible with the award winning doom art-punk RPG MÖRK BORG using their incredible 3rd party license. But it’s also a tool kit. Most of the tables can be hacked and used with any tabletop RPG.
We were able to get a review sample of Pirate Borg Core Rulebook to check out. I was able to do an unboxing video below so you can see what the book looks like.
First Look:
The Pirate Borg Core Rule Book provides a lot of information about the game. This is very beneficial for attacking and defending that can be a small challenge when your not used. Especially using ships that will have you thinking of how to steer and make sure your ship is well defended and equipped. My friends and I had a lot of fun learning about the rules and character creation as well. There goes a lot into being a well successful pirate but it is dark. Wow, is it dark! Not talking about when the sun goes down in a the ocean, its tough and don’t get too close to your characters. The book did provide a fun game which is The Curse of the Skeleton Point which will help you refine you naval and map skills. This is a great introduction to Pirate Borg and can’t wait to play more!

- The naval classes you will learn about are pretty cool! Your able to learn ways to attack, defend, and more with various ships. This will come in hand during your adventures.
