NEW YORK (October 23, 2025) – Peso Pluma continues to redefine the boundaries of Latin music. This week, the global superstar and his label, Double P Records, co-founded by Peso and George Prajin, were celebrated by Billboard during one of Latin music’s biggest weeks of the year. On Monday, October 20, Billboard held its annual Latin Power Players event, honoring industry leaders shaping the future of Latin music. Among this year’s honorees, Double P Records received special recognition as the top Regional Mexican Albums Label of the Year for its trailblazing impact and continued dominance across global charts.

Capping off an extraordinary week, Peso Pluma was presented with the first-ever Billboard Vanguard Award at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards, held last night. The historic honor celebrates artists who dare to go beyond the conventional — recognizing visionaries who break barriers, redefine standards, and leave an indelible mark on the music industry. During the ceremony, Peso delivered a powerful performance of his latest collaboration with RØZ, “Apaga La Luz,” captivating audiences with his signature fusion of música Mexicana and global sound. This milestone underscores Peso Pluma’s evolution from a cultural phenomenon to a creative force shaping the future of Latin music. Alongside Double P Records, he continues to champion innovation and elevate the voices transforming the genre worldwide. In addition, Peso took home the award for Artist of The Year, Solo.
