Mexican alternative rock band Enjambre is entering their most ambitious chapter yet. Formed around the talents of brothers Luis and Rafael Navejas, Mexico City-based retro-rockers Enjambre released their new album, Daños Luz, on March 12, 2026.
According to the group, the psychedelic pop/rock Daños Luz reflects on the passage of time and life’s most memorable impressions.
Filled with swaths of signature late ‘60s and early ‘70s rock guitars, as well as unique sounds like the edgy strings on single “Angustias” and the jagged synths on “Juguete” and “El Regalo,” Daños Luz (which translates to Light Damage in English) blends Enjambre’s classic vintage-rock sound with a moody atmosphere.
The song, “Vida en el Espectro” captures the themes of the album beautifully:
I want to go to places without those virtual walls / Where one doesn’t get lost among false realities /I want to see homes with parents present again / I want to see people in the streets breathing the same air / Let the popular current stop diagnosing us / Now!
Singles include “Vínculo,” “Juguete,” “Angustias,” “La Diferencia,” “Marioneta,” “Errante,” and the newest track, “Vivos.”
According to the band, Daños Luz is more than a collection of songs, it’s a story of the “damage” and “light” we carry, marking a sophisticated, retro-futuristic turn for the band.
Enjambre is set to return to Mexico for two major festival stages: Vive Latino in CDMX and Tecate Pa’l Norte in Monterrey, before heading back to the U.S. to close the tour with two headline shows in Southern California: March 21 at The Observatory North Park in San Diego and March 22 at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.
