On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Canadian metalcore rockers Spiritbox brought their Tsunami Sea Tour to HEB Center at Cedar Park, along with support from Honey Revenge and Periphery. The 4-piece, fronted by Courtney LaPlante, brought a wave of feels to the Austin crowd, who hadn’t been blessed with their effervescent presence since they played Emo’s, a significantly smaller venue, in 2023.
LA pop rock outfit Honey Revenge opened with a spunky 30-minute set, before D.C. prog metalheads Periphery took the stage and set the tone with a heavier 6-song, 45-minute run of songs. Many fans appreciated the diversity of sound between the three bands.
“I had such a wonderful time!” said metalcore fan Leslie Hogue, of Austin, TX. “It was such a cool experience seeing the mosh pit full of people from different ages and backgrounds unite over the love of an artist.”

Spiritbox took the stage just after 9:00 p.m., and slayed the stage for about an hour and a half. Most of their set consisted of songs off their latest record, 2025’s “Tsunami Sea.” Spooky, poetic interludes were followed by sludgy, heavy metal grooves as well as the goth-y atmospheric melodies that the band is known for.
Fittingly, the group ended with “Ride The Wave,” off the new album.
“Each set showcased an ultimate mesh of rock subgenres, bringing all ‘waves’ of people together,” said local fan Liz Boatright. “I’ve always admired Courtney’s work, and her authentic approach to different musical styles and lyricism. Although Spiritbox said it’d be a while before they come back to Texas, I’ll be looking forward to seeing them play again!”
Before leaving the stage, singer LaPlante said, “We love coming to Texas. Thank you so much for coming out to see us and supporting us all these years!”
