These nominations come on the heels of their recent release “Bachata Bélica” featuring Prince Royce and Brray, an electrifying fusion of traditional Mexican sounds, Dominican bachata, and Puerto Rican urban rhythms. The track continues to spotlight Sebastián and Eugenio Esquivel’s boundary-pushing approach to cross-genre experimentation, recently acknowledged by Billboard as a defining trend in Latin music for 2025.
The brothers’ unique approach to blending house, EDM, and traditional Mexican sounds with their humorous viral take on “alucín” culture has earned them a devoted fan base. These nominations highlight their breakout year in 2024, which included their chart-topping single “Alucin” debuting in Spotify’s Top 50 Global and “Exceso,” a collaboration with Blessd that peaked at #29 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.
In addition, this year marks the debut of the “Best Electro Corrido” category at Premio Lo Nuestro, further highlighting Los Esquivel’s role as pioneers of the genre. This year’s awards are set to take place on February 20th.
