Interview with Venice Revive

We were able to sit down with Venice Revive to discuss their inspiration to write music, the cool music in video games that we dig too, and much more! Be sure to check out the music of Venice Revive below on Spotify after the interview.

Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your
surroundings?

I love music because it helps me deal with whatever I’m dealing with in life, I like to connect with the lyrics, knowing someone understands how I feel.
That’s what I want to do with my music, I write my music based on that.
My first album describes how I dealt with the loss of my father, with the 5 songs in the middle representing the 5 stages of grief.

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

I liked middle eastern music & mainstream pop until the age of around 12-13 because that’s all I was exposed to, then I started hearing metal in soundtracks of video games I liked, like NFS: Unleaded 2, Motorstorm: Apocalypse and Burntout 2: Takedown for example, from there I fell in love with metal music.
It started with the super knowing artists of course but overtime I realised my favorite subgenre is metalcore.

Is there someone you looked up as a hero?

I can’t think of anyone. I like the idea of being the best version of myself I can be, instead of admiring and taking inspiration from another human being.

If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing today?

– I’m actually a chemical engineering student and a professional kart racer too, I race in the national championship! I invest as much time at these as I do in my music.

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?

Don’t wait for band members to create music with, listen to producers who understand more than you in songwriting and just do your best to share it as with many people you possibly can.
