Today, we sat down with The Damnation Project to talk about fun stories in the studio, their latest music and much more! Be sure to check out their music below after the interview!

How did you get your start in music?

Like any other teenager, with an acoustic guitar on my hand and a lot of dreams on “changing the world” with my music.

What type of music did you listen to while growing up?

Mainly classic rock and classic metal. One of the first things I listened to, was Iron Maiden, 7th son of a 7th son. I grow up in 80s, so, that was normal. A lot of Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Alice Cooper, Scorpions, Pink Floyd, and then some pop music like Michael Jackson.

What are fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio recording music?

I remember one time we had to record 3 drum tracks and although I had sent the demos to the drummer, he hadn’t listened to them at all. So, when we went to the studio he said to the technician, to let the demo playing and he want out for a cigarette. Of course, all of us thought, now what? We thought, normally, he couldn’t play the songs at all, so we would have to call the day off. Ten minutes later he said, “ok I got them, lets record them” and he went straight to the drum set, and perfectly performed the songs. He was so talented and experienced he only needed about 1 minute of playback of each song to understand what he should do.

What is your latest song or album you can share with us?

We have released 2 new singles of the forthcoming album, “4”, that will be released in the next months. First single is called “I can see you” and is an 8-minute experimental post metal song, and the second one is called “Woman” and is a 3-and-a-half-minute air play, up tempo, rock track.
