Interview:
What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your
surroundings?
Inspiration can come from many places, sometimes from our surroundings, sometimes from people, emotions, or moments that leave a mark. We tend to write about real experiences, both ours and those we observe in others.
It’s not so much about a specific place, but about the feeling behind it. Every song starts with a spark of emotion that we try to turn into something people can connect with.
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
We grew up listening to a bit of everything, from classic rock and pop to folk and soul. Bands like The Beatles, Queen, U2, Radiohead, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young were a big part of our musical background.
That mix of powerful melodies and honest storytelling definitely shaped the way we write and feel music today.
Is there someone you looked up to as a hero?
We’ve never really had one single hero, but we deeply admire people who stay true to themselves and fight for their dreams despite the odds. Artists like Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Bonno Vox, Michael Jackson or Freddie Mercury have been inspiring in that sense, not just for their talent, but for their courage and authenticity.
We also look up to everyday heroes, the kind of people who keep going, stay kind, and make a difference in quiet ways.
If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing today?
We’ve done a lot of different jobs before becoming full-time musicians, so honestly, we could probably adapt and do many things laughs. But when you do something out of pure passion, everything seems to make sense, you just feel that’s exactly where you’re meant to be.
What can you tell us about your latest single ‘Weight of Doubt’?
Weight of Doubt is a song about facing uncertainty and the internal battles that come with it. It’s about how doubt can hold us back, but also how it can push us to grow once we confront it.
Musically, it blends intimacy and power, starting softly and building into something cinematic and emotional. For us, it represents a new chapter in our sound and in our journey as Non Talkers.
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?
The best advice we can give is to stay true to yourself and don’t rush the process. Create music that means something to you, not what you think others want to hear.
Be patient, keep learning, and don’t be afraid to fail, every mistake helps you find your real voice. Passion and authenticity will always take you further than perfection.
