Today we sit down with melodic metal band Marble to talk music inspiration, growing up with music and of course their heroes! Be sure to check out their latest track after the interview below titled: What Leads Us To. A phenomenal track with amazing music by the band and an awesome vocalist as well!
Here is the interview:
What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings?
Our New Album ‘S.A.V.E.’ revolves around the idea of the seven deadly sins and the three theologal virtues. In the catholic culture, the three virtues are canonically Faith, Hope and Charity. The seven deadly sins are probably known to the public thanks to their frequent use in books and movies. Song lyrics are not tied to one another, every track tells a different story, but we’ve tried to keep a “fil rouge” connecting each sin and virtue with human behaviours.
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
Mainly Metal, but also some good rock. Anyway It depends: anyone in the band has his/her own history and musical influences
Is there someone you looked up as a hero?
We do not think hero is the right term. We respect a lot of great perfomers as artists who creates good music. The idea of the “hero” in music, in particular in metal, is dead since the Eighties.
If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?
Some of us have a day Job, while Paul and Norman are music instrument teachers.
Eleonora is also an actress in a local company. We all have our way to escape from reality!
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?
To be honest with themselves: music industry is changing everyday, so do not rely only on that and build a solid knowledge of both music and computer tech, to promote online in social media and similar the music you create.
