Interview:
What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings?
Our inspiration to write music is our lives, our surroundings and what goes on in the world!
We like to write about topics that are relevant for us, and sometimes it’s fantasy oriented.
What type of music did you listen to growing up?
So, I (Oscar, guitarist and singer) listened to a lot of pop music in my formative years, then graduated towards heavier stuff in my teens. A lot of Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold got played in my room. So mostly thrash metal and metal core.
Is there someone you looked up as a hero?
James Hetfield of Metallica for sure. He just seems like such a humble and down to earth kind of person. As well as a riff machine.
If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?
Well as musicianship is mostly a part time thing right now, I work as a social worker and that’s what I’d be doing still if I didn’t play music as well.
What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?
Try to create from a place where you feel comfortable. It’s easy to get stuck thinking “oh, is this good? Does this work?”. As long as it sounds good to you, other people will like it!
