Interview with I AM UNTITLED

Today, we sat down with I AM UNTITLED  to discuss his new single, inspiration to write music, and more!

Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings?

The reaction people will have when I sing my songs live is what drives me to try and write the best songs I can. Songs that will bring hope and healing and joy.

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

Hip hop, r&b, boy band

Is there someone you looked up to as a hero?

Bono

If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing today?

Stand up comedy

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?

Start now, perfectionism is not a gift, it’s a road block.

What can you tell us about your latest single ‘You Are Good’?

I lost 80% of my tongue to stage 4 cancer and was told I’d never sing again. When I was dying in the hospital, I wanted to give up and stop fighting cancer. One night I was planning to end it all. My wife began to sing over me. She sang an old hymn we grew up on, but couldn’t remember all the words so she changed the lyrics to “You are good, God”. She sang me to sleep and help me keep fighting and keep living. Years later, I took the song she sang over and created this remix “You Are Good”. A celebration of life and a reminder to NEVER GIVE UP.
