Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music?

We tend to write about everything and anything, but I’d say a lot of our surroundings and current events find their way into our music. We have a lot of lyrics that are about the trials and tribulations we all face. We also write a lot of lyrics that are sexual in nature.

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

We are a varied group but, I (Nate) personally grew up listening to everything from old 50s Do-Wap and 60s psychedelic rock to more traditional pop music, I loved Janet Jackson and early R&B and then later I found heavy metal and rap.

Is there someone you looked up to as a hero?

Well I can’t speak for the group but for me personally it was probably my dad. There are lots of folks I Idolized like Hunter S. Thompson and Mike Patton (faith no more), but for me my dad was the real hero, He taught me how to preserve and to keep going when things get tough.

If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing today?

Well, we all have day jobs still, and none of us hate our jobs, so we’d all probably be doing the same type of work. Personally, if I wasn’t putting as much effort into playing music I’d probably still be exorcising my creative side through other mediums like comic books.

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?

Never do what “they” say… Ok, jokes aside, I would say that if you love music and want to make it, do it because of that and not because you want to be famous, I can say from some experience that fame, and money are overrated. If you make good music that comes from the heart it will always find an audience and it will be so much more fulfilling.

What can you tell us about your latest single ‘Until You Bleed’?

It’s a song about two people stuck in a toxic relationship. It is written from the point of view of someone knowing they’re stuck in this toxic relationship but struggling with how and if they should leave. It was inspired by people we have known who couldn’t see that always bailing out their toxic partners was keeping both people from growing or changing, so they were stuck in a vicious loop of toxicity. The chorus is about the antagonist finally coming to terms with the fact that this love is toxic and they have to let go and let it die.
