Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings?

It’s a really heady mix of lucid dreaming day dreaming and inspiration dawn from all forms of relationships especially the relationship you have with yourself. I feel a strong connection to the dream world and often have a strong visual playbook mapped out that I pull on when I write a song. I like to have a lot of self reflection in my music too and this underpins everything I do.

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

A lot of grunge, rock and some strong female front women like PJ Harvey. PJ Harvey especially made a huge dent on my psyche.

Is there someone you looked up as a hero?

Yes PJ Harvey! She’s a powerful songwriter, master of composition and utimately a psychologist of sorts. The best songwriting draws you into their web but also helps you understand humanity better, she does that.

If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?

A visual artist, I love to create visual art and tell stories through many mediums it helps me understand myself, especially photography and mixed media.

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?

Don’t let anyone or anything stop you. Only you know your inner voice, you know what you are trying to say and that has to be your biggest guide.
