Interview with Chaoseum

Interview with Chaoseum

When I pressed play on their Spotify list, their music reminded me being inside the pit at Ozzfest. This band should either be headlining the second stage or opening up on main stage of Ozzfest! Man, I’m digging this band hard! So many good memories have came back while listening to Chaoseum. Today, we sit down with Chaoseum and talk type of music growing up, inspiration to write music and much more. Be sure to check their website below and press play on Spotify on their tracks!

Here is the interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your surroundings?

Yes, our experiences and our life are an inspiration for some songs, but sometimes we try to
create an imagined story. Our last record talks about second life and each songs was written with
this theme.

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

Personnay, I discovered Iron Maiden in 1987, that was my first step into the metal music world.I
also listened over and over again to some bands like Judas Priest, Ratt,Dokken, Bon Jovi, Alice
Cooper and many more.

Is there someone you looked up as a hero?

Not really,I never saved a life or something like that. But a lot of people support and help me in
my music’s adventure. They are my hero!

If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?

I would be a watchmaker, because I learned this job and it’s another passion for me. A
mechanical mouvement is magic, so small and precise.

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?

It’s a really good idea. If you have enough motivation, work really hard for it and find good
friends to play with, it’s really important. Be sure that your goals are similar and realistic. It’s
not necessary to be the best musician in the world but try to create something interesting for you
and the others.
