Interview with ANDY ROCKS

Interview with ANDY ROCKS

Today, we sat down with Andy Rocks to talk how the band started in music, inspiration, new album and much more! Be sure to check out their social media below after the interview and jam hard to their music! I know we are!

here is the interview:

How did you get your start in music?

Markus: I was a little boy and  was fascinated by the marching drummers on the street shows… and I thought, yeah I can have fun with this drum, it sounds loud, great… it destroys silence, cool, i have to beat this drum and so on and than I searched for a teacher for drumming and it goes so on…

Stoney Dee: I was a little street boy in Slovakia and one cold winter, when I was frozen – almost dead, an old man with a long beard came to me and gave me a guitar. He also taught me all the juiciest, hottest riffs out there, so I never have to be cold again.

You know, as the old saying goes “Teach a boy one juicy hot riff and he won’t be cold for a day, teach him all the juicy hot riffs and he will never be cold again”.

Andreas: When I was just a kid, my sister showed me bands like Bon Jovi and Guns n’ Roses. Luckily there were enough good songs in the top 40 and MTV also showed all the cool music videos. One day in school I held a presentation about Queen and after that I was addicted. A few months after that I wanted to play guitar. I’m still penetrating my six-string with the same old passion.

Andrea: I was a young girl and saw a Bon Jovi commercial on TV. I bought the album These Days then and fell in love with it. Then I started singing.

What type of music did you listen to while growing up?

Markus: Oh shit music, like Volksmusic – it was not my style for drumming,… than I stumbled Metalbands like Nightwish, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation… and than I came more to Rockmusic back like AC DC, Mötley Crew, ZZ Top, and now I’ m also partying with my nice Punkprojekt… only for party and more…

Stoney Dee: Slovakian Volkmusic – starts singing in slovakian

Andreas: All the music in the German single charts … as I said, I was lucky that Bon Jovi, Metallica and Guns n’ Roses had quite a few hits during my childhood days. I started listening to rock and metal only after my Queen presentation. I also loved Roxette, The Beatles, Deep Purple, and so on.

Andrea: Quite the same as Andreas said before.

What are fun stories you can share while you’re in the studio recording music?

Markus: I remember my first recording Session – our guitarplayer and i wanted to record – but what happened: We played these takes and, he said make it louder, more this more this on my ears… i can not record so… 😉 but later he checked, he have to practise a little bit more before playing to the klick 😉

Stoney Dee: When I was in a band in Slovakia and we recorded our first record our singer sung “šózsádž” instead of “šózsídž” which probably means nothing, because I just made all that slovakian stuff up.

Andreas: What happens during recording sessions, stays in recording sessions 😉

What is your latest song or album you can share with us?

Andrea: Our latest song is Get me a drink from our new record “Look at what we’ve done” – Check it out and have some fun with it.

Stoney Dee: start’s singing in made up slovakian again

Andreas: I also had some stuff to share from my other rock band Adrenalize. Listen to the album Freakshow … it’s also pretty cool
