Los Angeles, CA (August 5, 2024) – This past weekend, trailblazing Musica Mexicana pioneers, Grupo Frontera, took over the United States where they kicked off their “Jugando A Que No Pasa Nada” tour with three SOLD OUT shows in Las Vegas, Phoenix and El Paso. Returning to the stage after several months, the group re-introduced themselves via their reimagined show inclusive of a fully redesigned stage layout, incredible visuals and pyrotechnics, and steller acoustics. Plus, Grupo Frontera introduced their incredible new audiovisual experience which included the renowned Transformers franchise and narration by the iconic comedian Eugenio Derbez. The original Transformer revealed during the show is the first Mexican Transformer, created specifically for Grupo Frontera in collaboration with the group.
The two-hour show, inclusive of 29 tracks, was composed of songs from their recently released album “Jugando A Que No Pasa Nada” blended with some hits from their freshman album “El Comienzo,” and more.
Starting the night off with their new audiovisual experience, Payo Solis, Juan Cantu, Beto Acosta, Julian Peña, Carlos Guerrero, and Brian Ortega dove into “Jugando A Que No Pasa Nada” tracks, “F*cking Amor,” “Los Dos,” and “Nunca La Olvide.” Showcasing their new stage layout which displays Julian and Carlos located on two raised trucks, Grupo Frontera continued the evening with “Quedate Bebe,” “Amor Propio,” and “Entre Parentesis,” their collaboration with Shakira. Next the group jumped into their classic hit “Di Que Si” which landed on the Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks. Next, they journeyed into their album “El Comienzo” with hits “Le Va Doler,” “De Lunes a Lunes,” and their Arcangel collaboration “ALV.”
Continuing the night the group performed “Echándote De Menos,” “No Se Que Paso,” “Alch Si,” and “Ya Pedo Quien Sabe,” their collaboration with Christian Nodal which hit number one on the Billboard Regional Mexican Airplay Chart. “Me Hizo Un Favor,” “Ibiza,” Vato Perfecto,” “Ojitos Rojo,” new dance track “Desquite,” and their collaboration with Peso Pluma, “Tulum” followed. They continued with “Bebe Dame” which hit number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Song Chart, “Fragil” which hit number one on the Billboard Mexican Regional Airplay chart, “911,” “En Altavoz,” and their iconic rise to fame “No Se Va” which also landed their first hit on the Billboard Hot 100 where it remained for 20 weeks. Their second Billboard Hot 100 entry “Que Vuelvas” was next followed by “Amor De Su Vida” which also landed them another number one spot on the Billboard Regional Mexican Airplay Chart where it remained for four consecutive weeks, and “Por Que Sera.”
To bring the incredible evening to an end, the group finished their unbelievable performance with their iconic collaboration with Bad Bunny “un x100to” which broke first day streaming records, hit number one on the Billboard Global 200 and has amassed over 800 million views on YouTube.
The group has been releasing bonafide hits since skyrocketing to fame, landing them at the forefront of multiple charts.
