LOS ANGELES, CA — August 18, 2025 — The Queen of Percussion and GRAMMY®-winning artist Sheila E., unveils the official music video for “Vuelvo”, an emotionally rich ballad marking her first full song sung entirely in Spanish. Co-conceptualized by Sheila E. and directed by award-winning New Zealander Shae Sterling — who also helmed the vibrant “Bemba Colorá” video — the cinematic work reflects themes of return, resilience, and cultural pride.
Filmed in Los Angeles and Minneapolis, the visual journey honors Latin heritage with a special appearance by the GRAMMY®-winning Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea. Family is central to Sheila E.’s artistry, and in “Vuelvo” she continues her family’s musical legacy with her nephews Peter and Kingston dancing alongside her, and her godson Mychael Gabriel contributing a soulful guitar solo..
Written by GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® winner Claudia Brant and Josh Cumbee, “Vuelvo” is a standout track from Bailar Deluxe, the expanded edition of Sheila E.’s GRAMMY®-winning salsa album Bailar. The deluxe release also features new collaborations, including a Latin reinterpretation of “The Glamorous Life” and “Mi Rumba y Tambor” with La India.
