In “Que Pedo“, Gabito Ballesteros and Eddy bare their souls as they recount a failed relationship and the emotional turmoil that follows. The touching lyrics, which are blended seamlessly with beautiful melodies and a playful chorus, dig deep to portray the struggles faced when you separate from a loved one that deep down still has your heart, but that you can no longer be with because she’s moved on.
The official music video, produced by Luxon Films, captures a raw and emotional journey of love, heartbreak, and acceptance. Gabito is shown standing alone in an abandoned warehouse, surrounded by the remnants of a party, including discarded bottles and party favors, while Eddy drives around town with friends, openly sharing that he is buzzed and overcome with emotion. Throughout the video, both Gabito and Eddy reflect on the confusion and pain of love. Gabito grapples with his lover’s mixed signals, as she claims they cannot be together while sober yet confides to her friends that she wants to cry over him in moments of vulnerability. Despite their shared feelings of emptiness, both Gabito and Eddy embrace the idea that in another life, they would be together. They express an intimate understanding of each other, acknowledging that they were never truly strangers. The video powerfully underscores the song’s themes of longing, heartache, and bittersweet hope.
The singer-songwriter and producer has been climbing the ranks of Musica Mexicana, having released several hits including his first studio album “The GB” which launched at number three on the Billboard Regional Mexican Albums chart and at number five on Billboard Top Latin Albums chart.
