February 6, 2026 (New York, NY): Today, singer-songwriter and rising country artist Waylon Wyatt releases his new track, “In Loving Melody,” via Music Soup/Darkroom Records. It marks his second collaboration with acclaimed producer Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves, Maggie Rogers, Jelly Roll) and showcases Waylon’s most compelling storytelling to date. Anchored by heartfelt lyrics and an acoustic-driven arrangement, the song delivers his signature upbeat, folk-country sound and serves as the first release from his forthcoming debut album. LISTEN HERE.
“In Loving Melody” reveals a new side of Waylon, delivering his most affecting lyrics to date. Set against acoustic guitars, drums, and a rattling tambourine, he sings, “I’ll water these flowers with the tears I cry” a line that cuts deeply. A poignant song of love and loss, the track balances intimacy with uplift and has already generated over 1M Tiktok views in the week leading up to its release.
Waylon says of the track: “I wrote In Loving Melody a long time ago, but it stuck with me so I decided to record it. I wanted a song that makes you want to bop your head to it, but when you look deeper into the lyrics it makes you want to tear up a lil.”
Coming up, he’ll support Sam Barber on select North American dates before heading overseas for the C2C Festival in Europe, alongside headlining shows in Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen. He’ll then hit the road on his “Everywhere Under the Sun” tour, bringing his signature storytelling and high-energy performances to audiences nationwide, with stops in Birmingham, Cleveland, and Charleston. Throughout the year, he’ll also appear at major festivals including Under the Big Sky, Railbird, Bonnaroo, and more.
Waylon’s 2025 was defined by career-building moments at every turn — from standout sets at Stagecoach, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, and FairWell Festival, to opening for Zach Bryan at London’s Hyde Park. He completed his first-ever Australian tour with packed shows in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, and capped the year by being hand-picked as one of VEVO’s 2026 DSCVR Artists to Watch — all signaling a fast-rising trajectory and even greater momentum heading into 2026.
Waylon’s latest releases showcase his evolving artistry and genre-defying sound. “Pretty Little Liar,” produced by Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves, Maggie Rogers, Jelly Roll) reaches new sonic heights, pairing a striking harmonica intro and assured vocals with layered instrumentation on bass, banjo, and pedal steel (LISTEN HERE) while “Frostbite” delves into themes of longing and heartache, marking one of his most vulnerable and emotionally resonant releases to date (LISTEN HERE).
