CHUWI JOINS BAD BUNNY AS OPENING ACT FOR 27-SHOW WORLD TOUR ACROSS LATIN AMERICA AND AUSTRALIA

NEW YORK (November 17, 2025) –  Puerto Rican sensation Chuwi has been announced as the official opening act for Bad Bunny’s highly anticipated DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS world tour, spanning 27 shows across the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, and Australia. Tickets are on sale now at https://depuertoricopalmundo.com/.

Formed in Isabela, Puerto Rico, Chuwi is a quartet of siblings Lorén, Willy, and Wester Aldarondo, joined by family friend Adrián López, who are redefining the island’s contemporary soundscape with a fusion of plena, bomba, and modern Caribbean rhythms. Known for their emotional lyricism and rich musicality, Chuwi has captivated audiences both locally and internationally. Their breakout moment came with Bad Bunny’s collaboration “WELTiTA,” featured on his album DtMF and performed during his No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency, propelling Chuwi onto the global stage.  Following that success, the group embarked on their first-ever U.S. headlining tour in 2025, which sold out entirely. The tour kicked off with two back-to-back sold-out performances, including a packed show at Antone’s on October 4, followed by an electric appearance at the BMI Stage at Austin City Limits, which, according to BMI, was the most attended hour of the entire weekend. Following the overwhelming response in Austin, the remaining dates quickly sold out, marking a major milestone in Chuwi’s breakout year. The tour also made stops in New York, Philadelphia, Orlando, and more, cementing Chuwi as one of the most exciting new voices emerging from Puerto Rico.

In addition to their live performances, Chuwi recently delivered a Tiny Desk performance for Latin Music Month, showcasing their seamless blend of traditional Puerto Rican sounds with modern production. The performance featured the songs: “Falta Algo,” “Tikiri,” “Tierra,” “Guerra,” and “Navidades en Cataño”, further demonstrating their versatility and emotional depth. With over 6.4 million monthly Spotify listeners and growing international acclaim, Chuwi continues to evolve as one of Puerto Rico’s most authentic and dynamic contemporary acts, carrying the island’s spirit into a new musical era. Fans attending Bad Bunny’s world tour can expect a dynamic, heartfelt performance that introduces Chuwi’s unique sound to audiences around the globe.
