NEW YORK (December 23, 2025) – Puerto Rican breakout group Chuwi has wrapped a landmark run in Mexico City as the official opening act for Bad Bunny’s DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour. Performing across eight sold-out nights at the historic Estadio GNP Seguros, the quartet introduced their signature Caribbean sound to massive crowds, marking a defining moment in their rapid global ascent.

Throughout the Mexico City dates, Chuwi delivered dynamic sets featuring standout tracks such as “Mundi,” “Tierra,” “Guerra,” “Tikiri,” “Rico y Pico,” “biPARTIDOS,” and “Falta Algo,” blending traditional Caribbean influences with a modern edge. Their performances transformed each night into a celebration of Puerto Rican culture, highlighted by recurring onstage appearances with Bad Bunny for the fan-favorite collaboration “WELTiTA.” The moment became a nightly high point, reinforcing Chuwi’s powerful stage presence and their growing connection with international audiences. As they continue touring worldwide with Bad Bunny, the group is introducing Puerto Rico’s rich musical heritage to stadiums across the globe.

Formed in Isabela, Puerto Rico, Chuwi is composed of siblings Lorén, Willy, and Wester Aldarondo, alongside family friend Adrián López. Together, they are reshaping the island’s contemporary sound through a fusion of plena, bomba, and modern Caribbean rhythms, paired with emotionally driven songwriting and layered musicianship. Their breakout arrived with “WELTiTA,” featured on Bad Bunny’s album DtMF and performed during his No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency, catapulting the group onto the international stage. Building on that momentum, Chuwi embarked on their first-ever U.S. headlining tour in 2025, which sold out entirely. The run launched with back-to-back sold-out shows, including a packed night at Antone’s on October 4, followed by a standout appearance at the BMI Stage during Austin City Limits. According to BMI, their set marked the most attended hour of the entire weekend. Following the overwhelming response in Austin, the remaining tour dates sold out rapidly, with stops in New York, Philadelphia, Orlando, and more. Most recently, Chuwi delivered a memorable performance at the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards, kicking off their performance with “Tikiri” before transitioning into “WELTiTA,” as Bad Bunny emerged to join them onstage. They also appeared on Tiny Desk for Latin Music Month, offering an intimate performance that underscored their versatility through songs including “Falta Algo,” “Tikiri,” “Tierra,” “Guerra,” and “Navidades en Cataño.” With over 8 million monthly Spotify listeners and growing international recognition, Chuwi continues to evolve as one of Puerto Rico’s most authentic and dynamic contemporary acts, carrying the island’s spirit into a new musical era. Fans attending Bad Bunny’s world tour can expect a dynamic, heartfelt performance that introduces Chuwi’s unique sound to audiences around the globe.
