Bastion Rose Unleashes Smoldering New Single “Cinnamon Fire” — Out Friday, July 25

Bloomington, IN — Modern rock upstarts Bastion Rose return with “Cinnamon Fire”, the fiery second single from their forthcoming full-length album Traces of Gold, produced by three-time Grammy winner David Bottrill (Tool, Muse, Peter Gabriel). The single drops Friday, July 25, on all major streaming platforms.

Following the success of their debut single “Humble Me,” Cinnamon Fire delves deeper into the band’s signature blend of brooding hard rock, post-grunge textures, and cinematic dynamics. Driven by dark, groove-heavy guitars and simmering vocals, the track burns with the seductive pull of something both beautiful and destructive.

“It’s about temptation,” says frontman Austin Frink. “That magnetic force you know will consume you—but you still can’t look away.”

Bastion Rose is a band born from transformation. What began as a personal outlet for Frink—after a life-altering cancer diagnosis—has evolved into a visceral rock force. Teaming with legendary producer Bottrill, the band first introduced their sound with the debut EP Fade to Blue, a powerful meditation on loss, resilience, and rebirth. The EP has since surpassed 1 million streams, drawing comparisons to SoundgardenBlack Sabbath, and Led Zeppelin for its emotional weight and seismic sound.

Now poised for their next chapter, Bastion Rose is gearing up to release Traces of Gold, a full-length album that deepens their exploration of grief, perseverance, and redemption. With thunderous riffs, cinematic storytelling, and raw vulnerability, singles like “Cinnamon Fire” signal a darker, more expansive evolution in the band’s sound.

“Cinnamon Fire” is available everywhere today Friday, July 25—including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.

Bastion Rose isn’t just making noise—they’re making meaning. Gritty, evocative, and unafraid to go deep, the band is fast becoming a rising voice in modern rock.
